With a 6.6 kHz transmission frequency and preset ground balance this unit is a solid choice for use in most soil types. The open 8" concentric search coil makes pinpointing objects easy as the centre always has the highest returns. Detection results are displayed on a dial indicated display and audible through either the built-in speaker or headphone output.

Two analogue knobs form the control interface and allow you to easily adjust the sensitivity and discrimination settings. You can set the unit to an all metal mode that will indicate when any metal type is sensed or choose from 3 discrimination levels to better filter results toward a particular metal type. Two distinct tones provide a hint as to the kind of metal hidden beneath the Earth's surface. The unit is powered by two 9V batteries which are not included.

Detection

• A transmission frequency of 6.6 kHz is well suited to finding objects such as coins and relics.
