Overview

3MP CMOS Image Sensor, PIR Motion Sensor, HD 1280x720p Video Recording

Description

This brown 8MP Trophy Cam HD Trail Camera with No-Glow Black LEDs from Bushnell is an updated version of their previously existing Trophy Cam HD trail/wildlife camera. It's equipped with a 3MP CMOS image sensor and a Hyper PIR motion sensor with an effective range of 60' and a faster triggering speed of 0.2 second. Image resolution can be bumped up from the native 3MP to 5MP or 8MP by interpolation. High-definition 1280x720p video recording is also possible. The PIR can be set to adjustable, with selectable low, medium and high levels, or Auto mode which automatically regulates sensitivity based on temperature. The camera's lens provides an angle of view of approximately 45°.

The No-Glow Black 32-LED flash offers an 80' range, which is 20' greater than the previous incarnation of the Trophy Cam HD, and is completely invisible to game and other people, making it substantially more discreet than the standard night vision flash on the earlier version. The camera also includes a removable anti-reflection cover for the LEDs, making them virtually impossible to detect. Field Scan 2x time-lapse mode captures images at pre-set intervals from 1.0 minute to 1.0 hour, within the hours of your choice. Two available time slots allow you to monitor dusk and dawn movement. Additionally, every image taken with the Trophy Cam HD is automatically stamped with day/date, temperature and phase of the moon at time of capture, and with the GPS geotagging capability, you can automatically embed GPS coordinates on your images.

The camera is equipped with a black-and-white text LCD monitor, so viewing and playback will have to be done on a computer. Like the earlier Trophy Cam HD, this one is rugged and weatherproof, but it features a redesigned body that offers a rougher and edgier look, a more secure grip for your hands, and an improved latch system.

Power is derived from 4-8 AA batteries, which are available separately, and images are recorded to SD/SDHC memory cards up to 32GB. The camera is delivered in clamshell packaging.

Features

3MP Image Sensor

At the heart of the camera is a 3MP CMOS image sensor. Resolution can be bumped up to 5MP or 8MP by interpolation, though native resolution is only 3MP. Capture full-colour images and HD 1280x720p video with audio in both well-lit and dim lighting conditions, thanks to the day / night autosensor. Video length can be programmed from 1.0-60 second.

Hyper PIR Motion Sensor

Motion-activated up to a range of 60' and offering a wide coverage area, the PIR (passive infrared) sensor detects the changes in temperature that occur when subjects move and captures images in response. In adjustable mode, you can set the sensor to low, medium and high sensitivity, while Auto mode automatically regulates sensitivity based on temperature. The triggering speed is a fast 0.2 second, which is quicker than that of the earlier version of the camera, and the delay between capture from one image to the next is only 1.0 second. Multi-image mode lets you capture 2-3 images per trigger instead of just 1. You can programme the trigger interval from 1 second. to 60 minutes. to suit your needs.

Lens

Provides an angle of view of approximately 45°.

Field Scan 2x Time-Lapse Mode

Captures images at pre-set intervals from 1.0 minute to 1.0 hour, within the hours of your choice, to enable you to see change over time. Two available time slots allow you to monitor dusk and dawn movement. Because it's not dependant on game movement in order to be triggered, time-lapse mode is capable of capturing more images than motion-detect mode, giving you a more complete view of what's going on throughout the day and night. Additionally, the live motion trigger is still active during time-lapse capture, meaning it will still capture images whenever it senses motion.

Hybrid Capture Mode

Capture full-resolution images and video simultaneously with every trigger.

No-Glow Black LED Flash

The No-Glow Black 32-LED flash with Hyper Night Vision technology enables bright, clear nighttime capture, and offers an 80' range, which is 20' greater than the previous incarnation of the Trophy Cam HD. Additionally, it is completely invisible to game and other people, making it substantially more discreet than the flash on the earlier version. A removable anti-reflection cover for the LEDs makes them virtually impossible to detect. The No-Glow black LEDs also make the camera ideal for security surveillance.

Multi Flash Mode

Allows you to adjust flash power for different setups to conserve battery power where necessary.

Freeze Frame Shutter

During nighttime capture, the camera automatically sets the shutter speed to a faster setting, allowing you to freeze motion and eliminate blur. Thanks to the Hyper Night Vision flash, it's possible to use fast speeds and still get properly-lit images.

Data Stamp

Every image taken with the Trophy Cam HD is automatically stamped with day/date, temperature and phase of the moon at time of capture. By recording the phase of the moon at the time of capture on your photo, the camera allows you to see which animals are inactive during a full or nearly-full moon--when the brighter lighting conditions will make them more visible to predators. Moon phase also helps you determine if brighter or darker backgrounds in your images are due to the fullness of the moon.

GPS Geotagging

Automatically embeds GPS coordinates to make it easy to track game movement and determine exactly where all your images were captured. This also allows you to easily find favourite camera placement locations again later.

Display Screen

Equipped with a black-and-white text LCD monitor, so viewing and playback will have to be done on a computer.

Durability

Weatherproof to allow you to leave it outside without worrying, and capable of withstanding temperatures from -4.0 to 140°F.

Redesigned Body

Features a different design from that of the earlier version of the camera, with a rougher and edgier look, a more secure grip for your hands, and an improved latch system.

Adjustable web belt for attachment to a tree is supplied. The camera is also configured with a standard 1/4"-20 threaded mount for connection to a tripod or tree mount.
