The Matteblox DV is designed to reduce lens flare for Century Optics' and Canon's wide angle lenses by integrating a matte farbic lined lens hood with an adjustable/removable french flag.

Ready for Action
The Matteblox DV grips the end of any lens that is 60-85mm in outside diameter. With the 72mm Threaded Adapter or the 72mm Slim Adapter, the Matteblox DV can be used directly on cameras with a 72mm thread, including Canon's XL1/XL1s/XL2, Panasonic's AG-DVX100 and AG-DVC80. Finally, step-up rings allow the Matteblox to be used with the 72mm Threaded Adapter to be mounted on just about any camera or lens with a thread on the end. Sony's new HDV cameras (HDR-FX1 and HVR-Z1) will have some vignetting with the Matteblox DV (using 72mm Threaded Adapter or 72mm Slim Adapter on a UV filter) vignetting disappears at Z7. Adding a 4x4" or 100x100mm Filter Holder, vignetting disappears at Z18.
