Ready for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors and virtual reality (VR), the X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC TR4 ATX Motherboard from MSI is designed for extreme performance and is equipped with features such as Mystic Light, 3D printing support, Audio Boost 4, DDR4 Boost, Gaming LAN and Wi-Fi, Multi-GPU with Steel Armour PCIe slots, and more. This motherboard is designed to fit in ATX sized cases, supports the TR4 socket, the AMD X399 chipset, and is compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit).

The ATX form factor of the X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC can support 128GB of DDR4 RAM, or 16GB in each of the eight 288-pin DIMM slots at memory speeds of 3600+ (OC), 3466 (OC), 3333 (OC), 3200 (OC), 3066 (OC), 2933 (OC), 2667, 2400, and 2133 MHz. It also has a total of 8 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports and 3 x M.2 (Key M) slots. All of the M.2 slots support NVME PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA storage devices, while two of the M.2 slots support devices with 2242/2260/2280 form factor, and the remaining M.2 slot supports devices with a 2242/2260/2280/22110 form factor. When using SATA storage devices, RAID 0, 1, and 10 are supported.

There is also one USB 3.1 Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Type-A port, eight USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, all at the back panel, as well as one USB 3.1 Type-C port, four USB 3.0 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports, all internal. For those looking to expand their system using PCIe, there are four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots and two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots.

The X399 Gaming Pro Carbon AC does not contain any support for integrated graphics, meaning that users will need to purchase a compatible dedicated GPU of their choice. Once that GPU is installed, multi-GPU output is supported, with 4-Way NVIDIA SLI technology and 4-Way AMD CrossFire technology. Using the Realtek ALC1220 7.1-Channel HD audio codec, this motherboard delivers audio with high fidelity, which can be output using the five integrated audio jacks or one S/PDIF output. This motherboard is protected by a limited 3-year warranty.
