Description

The Stereo Windshield WS AC XY/MS Kit from Rycote is for wind noise protection. It can be used in various outdoor environments, when maximum isolation of wind and handling noise is required, for applications such as, weddings, outdoor events, water sports, boating, and more. This windshield kit features a suspension setup for XY/MS stereo arrangements for two compact condenser microphones, windshield with traditional metal hoop and rubber band arrangements, and an adjustable XY/MS mount. It allows four different angle positions for the microphones. The mount is suspended centrally in the hoop via the four rubber O rings. It provides you with the accessories needed to prevent or isolate your mic from up to 50dB of wind and handling noise. Included with the kit are hoop and bands, a XY/MS mount, 21 mm back to back clips, a brush, and a Hex head key.

Modular Suspension

• It provides complete isolation against handling noise and cable-borne noises.

Windshield

• The windshield basket completely surrounds the microphone and its connector. It slides onto the Modular Suspension to provide up to 30dB of wind noise attenuation.

Windjammer

• The Windjammer is a synthetic fur cover that is designed to fit over the Modular Windshield. It gives an additional 20dB of wind noise attenuation. It is fitted with a drawstring and a toggle for easily fitting on the mic.
