Baby Mode

Once again, Canon Baby mode is featured including a pre-record function that captures footage just before recording starts, to ensure you don’t miss baby’s first steps. With the new camcorder, parents can register up to three children and track their growth over the years.

Parental Lock Function

Videos shot in Baby Mode are automatically saved to a dedicated album, with a file lock function to safe against accidental deletion, so your favourite moments can be viewed by children without risk.

Image Stabilization Technology

Intelligent IS makes it easy to shoot clear, sharply focused video, even in situations that typically cause camera shake. The Intelligent IS system analyses the shooting situation for you, then automatically switches to the Image Stabilization method best able to produce sharp, steady video. Four IS systems cover the gamut of shooting situations. Dynamic IS corrects minor movement and the shaking caused by walking while shooting. Macro IS delivers perfectly steady close-up shots. Powered IS comes into play when you're using the LEGRIA HF R706 camcorder's powerful zoom, correcting shake that can occur in telephoto shots. Tripod Mode stops IS when the camcorder is stationary.

Zoom Framing Assist

Zoom Framing Assist will ensure you stay with your subject - the camcorder automatically pans out to help you relocate your subject, before zooming in again. Each shot will always be crystal clear, with Intelligent IS automatically reducing camera shake, giving you the confidence to zoom in on the action as it happens.

Slow and Fast Motion Function

With slow motion recording you can cut speeds by 1/2x – ideal for capturing and reliving every detail of a child’s first goal – or speed up events by up to 1200x, great for a quick recap of baby’s early years.
