Zacuto's Gorilla Plate V1 Adapter centres the Gorilla Plate V1's offset tripod holes by screwing into the bottom of the plate and providing a set of aligned holes. This is necessary when the Gorilla Plate V1 and Z-Finder are mounted to another manufacturer's baseplate. Without the adapter, the camera won't be centred and the lens will not line up with a matte box or follow focus.
Note:
- A height adjustable matte box is needed if using a matte box with the Gorilla plate on another manufactures plate system unless their plate system is height adjustable like the Zacuto DSLR Baseplate.
