Description
The Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera with 24-105mm f/4 Lens is a full-frame mirrorless camera designed for professional photographers who prioritize resolution, speed, and video capabilities. It features a newly developed 45MP CMOS sensor that allows for 8K raw video recording and offers a mechanical shutter with a continuous shooting speed of 12 fps. Additionally, it is the first EOS camera to feature 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilisation, ensuring steady and smooth footage.
The sensor of the R5 works in conjunction with the advanced DIGIC X image processor to introduce a new generation of Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This system enables quick, seamless, and intelligent focusing performance with 1053 selectable points that cover the entire field of view. It has also been enhanced with Deep Learning technology, improving subject tracking and enabling precise detection of eyes, faces, and heads for both humans and animals.
In terms of design, the R5 maintains a sense of familiarity for users of the EOS 5-series. It is equipped with a high-resolution 0.5" 5.76m-dot electronic viewfinder that offers a refresh rate of 120 fps, providing a lifelike viewing experience. The 3.2" rear touchscreen LCD monitor has a vari-angle design, allowing for easy vlogging and shooting from high and low angles. The camera also features a top status LCD, enhancing workflow efficiency. Furthermore, it incorporates dual memory card slots (one CFexpress Type B and one SD UHS-II), as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity for seamless file transfer and remote control.
