Foam selection:
We use only the best foam to produce our inserts which offer great durability and performance for all types of uses and we will work with you to utilize the best foam to achieve your desired protection requirements. Our most common types of foam used are; PE, EVA and PU foam.
PE (Polyethylene Foam)
This is the core of most of our foam inserts we make. PE foam is a strong and lightweight material with excellent mechanical and physical properties that make it long lasting, inert and exhibit excellent chemical resistance. These properties also allow it to maintain its shape and withstand wear and tear when removing and placing your items inside your inserts.
EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate Foam)
Typically used for the top cover of our foam inserts our EVA has a tensile strength nearly 4.5 times greater than our PE foam, which provides excellent resistance to deformation and tearing while still offering great impact absorption. Due to the EVA's cross-linked, closed celled structure it exhibits minimal water absorption of 0.002 g/cm2 providing a surface that is easily cleaned and maintained.
Using EVA for our top covers also allows us to engrave labels directly onto the foam for easy identification and organization of your equipment.
PU (Polyurethane Foam)
Typically utilized as our lid foam in our cases and cut in a dimple profile design, this product displays great compression characteristics which allow it to form over your items that are stored inside your case. This is an excellent product used in many high end cases to provide a snug fit for your items so that they stay where they should - inside their designated cut-outs.
