Description

The Comica Audio DUAL.LAV D03 Dual Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphones (Black, 4.8m) provides podcasters, mobile journalists, and documentary makers with a cost-effective solution that simplifies recording two-person interviews. It comes with two lavalier microphones that let you record clear and accurate speech directly to the single input of your DSLR/mirrorless camera or audio recorder, while monitoring your sound. It can also be used with an iPhone/Android smartphone/tablet that's equipped with a headphone jack.

The microphones feature an omnidirectional pickup pattern that captures sound from every direction, allowing for a variety of placement options and freedom of movement—even when the subject turns away from the mic. Each mic has a long 4.8m cable with locking connector, which securely connects to an in-line module with a clip for attaching it to your belt.

The module houses a dedicated switch that toggles between mono and stereo modes, allowing you to either combine both mics into a mono signal or record them separately on the left and right channels of your camera. A volume-adjustment thumb wheel lets you adjust the mics recording levels. Also found on the module is a locking 3.5mm output jack that enables you to plug a set of headphones for real-time monitoring of the mics.

A 10cm output cable with a locking 3.5mm connects the module to the 3.5mm audio input of your DSLR camera. Also included is a TRRS adapter, which you can use to connect the unit to the headphone jack of any smartphone or tablet.

The unit is powered via a built-in lithium-ion battery that provides up to 100 hours of operation. A USB charging cable enables you to recharge the battery using either a USB power adapter or a USB battery pack (both available separately). The metal construction offers shielding from radio-frequency noise and two furry windscreens are provided to protect your mics against wind noise, even when shooting outdoor. A carrying case lets you safely store and transport your equipment.
