Behringer B2PRO Dual-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

The Behringer B-2 large diaphragm condenser microphone is manufactured for project and professional engineers who favor quality at an affordable price point. The B-2 features a pressure gradient, dual-diaphragm capsule that delivers a transparent 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response while handling with an SPL rating of 135dB (145dB with Pad). The result is clean transparent audio even at extreme transient peak levels. The B-2 features switchable cardioid, omni-directional and figure 8 polar patterns making it versatile for use in most recording scenarios. A -10dB pad switch provides even further headroom when recording loud signals that can distort on input. A Low-frequency roll-off switch minimizes low-end noise at 150Hz.

Switchable Polar Patterns

• The B-2 features omni-directional, cardioid and figure 8 polar patterns for added flexibility. Cardioid effectively minimizes off-axis signal and noise, while omni-directional offers a more generous pick up around the sides of the microphone. Figure 8 enables even signal response at both sides of the capsule.

High-Pass Filter Switch

• A high-pass filter switch eliminates low frequencies at 150Hz. This is useful when ambient hum or line noise is prevalent.

-10dB Pad Switch

• The B-2 is capable of handling Sound Pressure Levels of up to 135dB, a -10dB pad switch allows for a total of 145dB of headroom. Engineers will find the pad useful when close miking instruments with high transient character.
