A dedicated camera designed to capture photos and videos of wildlife in a discreet manner, the Dark Ops HD Trail Camera from Browning features an 8MP CMOS sensor that is capable of recording both still imagery and HD 1280 x 720 video.

Imaging

• 8MP CMOS sensor records stills and HD 1280 x 720 videos
• Video recording times can range from 5 seconds to 2 minutes
• Built-in microphone records sound with movies
• The built-in fixed-focus lens renders subjects in focus from 3' to infinity and has a 55° field of view
• The infrared flash illuminates subjects at nighttime within a 70' range
• Motion-activated PIR (passive infrared) sensor detects subjects within a 55' range
• A 0.4-second triggering speed helps to ensure even fast-moving subjects are recorded
• 2.1-second picture recovery time
• Time-lapse mode captures images at preset intervals of 5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds, as well as 1, 2, or 5 minutes
• Time-lapse Plus mode uses the same interval settings with the addition of activating the motion sensor simultaneously to ensure not missing any subject movement
• Interval settings can be applied within a specified duration of 2, 3, or 4 hours, which can be set to start recording just after sunset, prior to sunrise, or during the daytime
• Multi-Shot mode will capture 1-8 frames in sequence when the camera is triggered, with 3 second intervals between frames
• Rapid Fire mode capture up to 8 sequential frames with 0.3 second intervals
• Programmable picture delay setting between 5 seconds and 60 minutes
• A motion test aids in aiming the camera, and when motion is detected a red LED indicator will confirm motion is being detected within the frame
• An information bar can be embedded onto the bottom of each frame, and will display the time, date, temperature in °F or °C, barometric pressure, moon phase, and camera ID

Physical Design

• Part of the Sub Micro Series, the camera is housed within a compact 4.5 x 3.25 x 2.5" case
• Controls are backlit for easier programming in low-light conditions
• Brown camo finish blends in to woods scenes
• One SD or SDHC memory card, up to 32GB capacity, can be used to record imagery
• Six AA batteries can be used as the internal power source or an external battery can be connected via the 12V power jack
• Small text display can be used to configure and confirm camera settings
• TV out and USB ports are incorporated into the design for easy playback
• A 1/4"-20 mount is built into the bottom of the case for attaching to tripods or other threaded mounts
• A 6'-long nylon strap is included for attaching to other surfaces, such as around a tree or fence post
• Dedicated padlock hole and security cable loops for using optional locking means to secure the trail cam

Software

• Buck Watch Time-lapse Viewer Plus software helps to manage the large amount of imagery that can be recorded by the trail cam by allowing for streamlined playback of a day's worth of content in only a few minutes
• Single images can easily be located and saved and complete video files can be saved and exported for sharing
• Single images can also be shown in a slideshow format
• The software is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, or XP operating systems.
