SkyMasters are economically-priced large aperture offerings from Celestron. They're great for both astronomy and long-range terrestrial observing. The tripod adapter on the enormous 25x100 model provides support and increased rigidity, but be aware that these gargantuan lenses require an enormously strong tripod. The recommended tripod and head combinations listed as accessories here are notoverkill for the application; actually, they are spot on. Slap this wonderful instrument upon an ultra beefy tripod/head combo and be amazed.
