An easily accessible 3-position switch allows you to quickly boost your audio +10 dB to increase the mic's sensitivity in situations when you're recording low-level sounds. The switch also allows you to cut -10 dB to lower the mic's sensitivity in loud environments like a band playing in a club or at a noisy live event.
There is also a switchable low-frequency roll-off filter to help minimise the pickup of unwanted low-frequency noise such as traffic or rumbling due to the wind.
The CVM-SV20 runs up to 36 hours on a CR2032 battery, conserving battery life on your camera and providing you with longer shooting time.
