The HP Thunderbolt G4 Dock is a versatile docking station that offers a wide range of connectivity options. It is compatible with both HP and non-HP Thunderbolt notebooks and supports various operating systems, including Windows 11 and 10, macOS, and Google Chrome.
The Thunderbolt Dock G4 features two USB Type-C ports that support data and power up to 15W. One of these ports also supports DisplayPort video output. In addition, there is a Thunderbolt 4 port with bi-directional transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s. The docking station also provides one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with 15W power support, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port with DisplayPort compatibility, and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Two of the Type-A ports can deliver up to 7.5W of power.
For video output, the Thunderbolt Dock G4 offers two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and one HDMI 2.0 port, allowing for a maximum of four displays at a DCI 4K resolution of 4096 x 2160 and 60 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it supports a maximum resolution of one 8K display at 60 Hz. Network connectivity is achieved through the RJ45 port, which supports both 2.5Gb and 1Gb Ethernet.
The Thunderbolt Dock G4 comes with a 120W AC adapter for system power and supports Power Delivery 3.0. It can deliver various voltages and currents, including 5V/5A, 9V/5A, 12V/5A, 15V/5A, and 20V/5A, depending on the device's requirements. HP devices can receive a maximum of 100W, while non-HP devices can receive up to 75W. The Thunderbolt Dock G4 is backed by a limited 1-year warranty, ensuring peace of mind for the users.
