Description

Stabilising your camera moves has become the name of the game, and the Letus from Letus35 stabilises cameras weighting up to 16 pounds in one axis with its brushless gimbal. The Helix is a powered stabiliser that features a modular design with a removable platform. The Helix balances around the optical centre of your camera, providing less stress on the system and your camera's image stabilisation system.

The flat bottom design of the Helix allows you to place it down on a flat surface without requiring a stand mount or other support. The 1-axis Helix is designed to stabilise your camera in the tilt axis and can be mounted to third party stabilising systems if you wish. The bottom of the Helix features a dovetail plate that is compatible with an optional OConnor 1030 fluid head, and it features three 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes. Please note you will need to source power options separately.

Features

• The Helix is designed balance and stabilise around the optical centre of your camera/lens combination. This allows you to do nodal point rolls, and as the image sensor movement is reduced significantly compared to off-centre stabilisers, image stabilisation is improved.
• It has been tested to work with cameras as light as the Sony A7s, and works with cameras weighing up to 16 pounds.
• Each axis platform of the system allows balance adjustment that reduces operating stress on the unit and the operator, and is indexed in millimetres allowing quick re-sets when switching between lenses.
• Re-balancing the Helix after a lens changes is simply a matter of sliding a single axis forward or back. You can be back up and running without missing a beat.
• The Helix system can be built up or torn down to accommodate your needs. Use one axis on top of an optional arm/vest type stabiliser for an auto-horizon solution.
• The electronics are protected from reverse polarity, overheating, and over-current conditions.
• The USB interface allows for configuration, control, and firmware upgrades.
• This unit does not include a battery or charger, which you must source separately.
• Optional Bluetooth Module, RC Module, and 2nd power box are available but must be installed by the factory, requiring the unit to be returned to Letus35 for service.
