Made of HPX high performance resin, the black Storm iM2435 Top Loader Case from Pelican is watertight, crushproof, dustproof, and made to sustain high impact, protecting the equipment inside. The moulded padlock holes are reinforced with stainless steel and nearly any standard padlock or TSA lock will fit. All moving parts such as hinges, latches, and handles have aluminium pins for durability and strength. Storm cases have a simple latch system: Push the latch and it closes automatically and opens with a light pull. Closing the lid and latches activate the auto-purge valve, which equalises the pressure inside the case, protecting the contents from altitude changes. Inside the case are multiple layers of foam for custom-organising the gear.
The top-loading case's lid has an O-ring, and the case has an IP rating of 67, which means it is dustproof and submersible down to 0.97 m. On the top of the lid is a rubber-coated handle for a better grip, and the back of the case has a retractable extension handle for pulling along the case on its inline-skate ball-bearing wheels. All Storm cases are made in the USA.
