The BD7500-L L-Plate for Nikon D7500 from Really Right Stuff is machined from a solid block of aluminium, which creates a fixed L-plate that can be changed while on top of a tripod, from a vertical to a horizontal position, without sacrificing your centre of axis. Also, the Arca-type compatible dovetail plate adds quick release functionality to the camera, and the anti-twist flange with the 1/4"-20 mount keeps it from twisting between the camera body and the plate.
The L-plate maintains complete access to the battery door and does not block the camera's tilting screen. A slotted channel, located where the camera sits, enables the 1/4"-20 mount to slide back-and-forth for the L-plate to slightly pull away to give access to the camera's ports. Furthermore, a boss has been machined into the side of the plate, so an accessory hand or shoulder strap can fit, and two additional QD sockets are on the plate for the Quick Disconnect strap system.
Type II black anodising has been applied to the CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminium. The anodising has given the L-plate a smooth surface, which is resistant to scuffs, scratches, and corrosion. Also, the L-plate has laser-engraved centre marks on the back of each axis for alignment on a tripod head.
