This SmallRig Cage for Sony FX3 is designed to provide protection and accessory mounting points for video shooting. It secures the camera with two 1/4"-20 screws to prevent twisting, with one on the bottom and one on the right side. Featuring multiple 1/4”-20 threaded holes which allow to mount a wide range of accessories like SmallRig's Universal Wooden Side Handle, XLR Top Handle, and Portable Power Bank Holder. Its top features a cold shoe mount to attach a microphone, light or sound receiver, etc. The cage also provides multiple ARRI 3/8" -16 locating holes for accessories like SmallRig's ARRI-Style Top Handle or the Swivel and Tilt Adjustable Monitor Mount. The left side comes with a short NATO rail compatible with the Wooden NATO Side Handle. The bottom integrates an Arca Swiss plate, which allows for mounting the camera onto a DJI RS 2 or RSC 2 gimbal. A flathead screwdriver is included to secure the camera screw and stores it on the bottom of the cage.
A dedicated HDMI cable clamp is included to protect the HDMI cable and ensure signal stability. Each side comes with a carrying strap slot for a camera strap. The cage comes with protective rubber pads and maintains access to all buttons, slots, and battery doors.
Note: The cage is not compatible with the FX3 original XLR handle.
