The *StarTech HDMI to VGA Video Adapter Converter with Audio is a compact device that allows you to connect any HDMI-enabled device to a VGA projector or monitor along with separate audio.
Featuring a separate audio output, this convertor allows you to de-embed the audio from your HDMI input source and send it independently to a separate audio input, whether a dedicated audio input on a VGA display or to completely separate speakers.
The convertor supports resolutions up to Full HD 1080p and PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. It is a fitting solution for connecting Blu-ray players, game consoles, other home entertainment devices, and computers to VGA displays. The HDMI port can also be converted to a DVI input using an HDMI to DVI adapter (sold separately). Your computer may have a DVI output and would require such an adapter if you want to run it to a VGA display.
A VGA to Component breakout cable is included for connecting to displays with Component input ports, and you can switch between VGA and Component (YPbPr) via a selector switch.
The convertor is compliant with HDCP 1.1 and features built-in EDID management.
