Designed to be a high-performance tethering engine, Smart Shooter 4 from Tether Tools is a digital photography workflow application for tethered shooting, remote capture, and advanced camera control. Smart Shooter is compatible with Canon, Sony, and Nikon cameras and features enhanced abilities like multi-loupe view, Live View, automated scripts, increased camera controls, and more.
Capture Panels
The Capture Tab features configurable panels that allow for advanced tethering features like multiple loupe views, filmstrip photo preview, and zoomed live view.
High Contrast Icons
High Contrast function icons to make it easier to identify features at a glance.
Live View Display with Overlay
Display the camera's Live View image in real time on the computer. The transparency of the Live View image can be changed so it is displayed as an overlay over the last taken photo.
Live View Recording
Each frame of the Live View output can be saved to a JPG file.
Real-Time Zooming and Panning
Automatically download and display the last photo taken. With GPU hardware acceleration, images can be checked immediately by zooming and panning in real-time using the mouse.
Tethered Shooting with Automatic Preview
A tethered camera may still be used manually while connected to the computer, images will be downloaded and display on the screen.
Filmstrip View
Visually see thumbnails of previous photos taken and quickly switch between them in the main Preview panel.
Automatic Control via Scripting
Smart Shooter can be driven from a script, enabling the ability to change camera settings and control of when photos are taken, allowing a series of images to be captured without manual operation of the camera or computer.
