Description

The lightweight Ulanzi UURig Upgrade Metal Cage for Sony a7 III provides accessory mounting and protection for your camera when used on a variety of production styles. The integrated NATO mounting rail machined into the top of the cage is ideal for adding an optional UURig top handle to improve ergonomics and for ease of low-angle shooting and handheld tracking shots. Likewise, the NATO rail machined into the left side of the cage allows for attaching a side handgrip (not included) to the cage.

The cage features numerous 1/4"-20 holes around the top and sides, and a 3/8"-16 hole with anti-twist divots allows you to attach an optional handgrip. The base of the cage is machined as an Arca-Swiss plate for quick release mounting, and it features seven 1/4"-20 holes for attaching the cage to a tripod without an Arca-Swiss receptacle. Anti-twist tabs keep the camera from twisting on the cage, while soft gripping pads on the base help protect your camera by preventing metal-to-metal contact and provide vibration isolation. Integrated cold shoes, one on the top of the cage and one on the side, provide room for additional accessories.
