The Behringer Rhythm Designer RD-6 Analog Drum Machine with 64-Step Sequencer (Yellow) is a recreation of the highly regarded TR-606 Drumatix analogue drum machine and is the perfect companion to the TD-3 Analogue Bass Line Synthesiser. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned professional, the RD-6 provides all the necessary tools to create banging beats. The machine offers eight classic drum sounds including kick, snare, low-tom, high-tom, cymbal, open hi-hat, and closed hi-hat, as well as the highly acclaimed and authentic clap sound from the DR-110 drum machine for even more sonic fun. Generate punchy bass drums to sizzling hi-hats to take your rhythmic performances to the next level.
The RD-6 features 11 controls and 26 switches, all laid out in an intuitive format, making it simple and fun to use. Connections include a stereo 3.5mm headphone output, a main 1/4" mono output, which sums the drum mix. Additionally, there are 6 independent analogue outputs for external processing and recording. With its 2 trigger outs, the RD-6 lets you control external synths and hardware sequencers to create songs without a digital audio workstation (DAW) in sight. The machine can also send and receive clock information with highly accurate timing to sync it to the outside world. For digital connections, the RD-6 offers MIDI in and out/thru, over USB and via standard 5-pin DIN MIDI ports.
The advanced 64-step sequencer is easy to use and provides access to any of the stored 32 patterns in real time. You can also chain patterns for up to 256 bars of continuous music, allowing for the creation of song arrangements ranging from simple to complex.
Mix any of the eight drum sounds by adjusting their dedicated level knobs. The RD-6 also includes a distortion circuit based on the infamous Boss DS-1 distortion pedal. Add spice and a bit of edge to your tone by flipping on the Distortion switch and adjusting the amount and tone of the distortion.
