The DJI Mic Mini 2S Clip-On Transmitter with Built-In Microphone is an extra transmitter designed to expand an existing DJI Mic Mini 2S system or to be used on its own as a standalone wireless microphone and voice recorder. One receiver can pair with up to four Mic Mini 2S transmitters at the same time, making this a simple way to add a second, third, or fourth person to an interview or podcast setup. By itself, the transmitter can also function as a Bluetooth microphone connected directly to a smartphone, or as a pocket voice recorder with 32-bit float internal recording and up to 28 hours of onboard storage.
32-Bit Float Internal Recording
32-bit float internal recording captures an extremely wide dynamic range directly on the transmitter, reducing the need for constant gain adjustments during recording. Even in unpredictable or chaotic recording conditions, audio can be recovered in post-production without clipping or loss, helping keep every take usable. Internal recordings can be saved either as the original track or as an algorithm-enhanced version, depending on your editing workflow.
28-Hour Internal Storage
The transmitter’s approximately 14.5 GB of onboard storage can hold up to 28 hours of loop recording, so a dropped wireless connection does not have to mean lost audio, and recording can be configured to start automatically as soon as the transmitter powers on. This two-in-one design also allows the transmitter to serve as a standalone voice recorder for interviews, class notes, or any moment worth capturing without pairing it to a receiver.
Two-Level AI Noise Canceling
DJI’s proprietary AI noise-canceling model accurately isolates and suppresses ambient noise in real time, allowing vocals to come through with clear transparency and detail. The included windscreen further reduces wind and handling noise, helping keep audio crisp for outdoor vlogging, live streaming, or other noisy environments.
Adaptive Gain & Voice Tone Presets
Two adaptive gain modes help keep volume balanced without manual adjustment. Clipping Control reduces sudden peaks to protect audio in unpredictable environments such as racetracks, while Loudness Balance dynamically adjusts gain to keep interviews and live streams sounding consistent. Three voice tone presets allow you to tailor the sound to your preference:
Regular mode delivers clean, natural, and balanced audio.
Rich mode emphasizes the low frequencies for a fuller, more powerful sound.
Bright mode highlights the high frequencies for extra clarity and sparkle.
Lightweight Magnetic Wearable Design
At approximately 12 g, the transmitter attaches by magnet or clip and wears like a discreet lavalier microphone. The detachable clip rotates fully, allowing sideways or upside-down mounting so audio pickup stays properly aligned regardless of how it is worn. In addition to the included Glaze White and Obsidian Black covers, optional magnetic front covers let you personalize the transmitter’s appearance or help it blend more naturally into a shot.
4TX + 1RX Cross-Gen Connectivity
A single receiver can pair with up to four Mic Mini 2S transmitters simultaneously, making this transmitter an easy way to add a second, third, or fourth person to an existing setup. Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2, and Mic Mini 2S transmitters and receivers all support mix-and-match compatibility, and this transmitter can also connect directly to the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver.
Bluetooth Direct-to-Phone Recording
The transmitter can also operate as a standalone Bluetooth microphone, connecting directly to a smartphone for recording or live streaming apps without requiring the receiver. Settings and firmware updates are handled through the DJI Mimo app.
Instant Reconnection with Paired Devices
Each transmitter stores pairing data for up to two receivers and one compatible Osmo camera, allowing previously paired devices to reconnect automatically. This makes it easier for creators to switch between devices quickly without disrupting a shoot.
Transmission Range & Battery Life
Transmission range reaches up to 400 m when paired with a standard Mic Mini 2S receiver, or up to 300 m when paired with the mobile receiver. The transmitter operates for up to 11 hours on a single charge and recharges through USB-C in approximately 70 minutes.
