A single transmitter can feed up to eight receivers, each with its own remote control capability. Directors and DPs get a high-resolution feed, while operators and focus pullers can adjust settings and control the camera remotely. You can run up to five transmitters and 40 receivers at the same time, and the wireless camera feed remains stable without sacrificing 4K image quality, even in complex on-set environments. DJI SDR Transmission 2 cannot be cross-connected with other DJI video transmission products, and for the best transmission experience, no more than five transmitters are recommended in the same area.
Automatic Channel 2.0
DJI SDR Transmission 2 uses Auto Channel 2.0 to manage frequencies automatically when Channel Mode is set to Auto. With improved spectrum scanning and conflict diagnostics, the system can respond intelligently as interference changes across a crowded set, making it easier to maintain a stable link when multiple transmitters and receivers are operating side by side.
DCI 4K Monitoring
DJI SDR Transmission 2 delivers DCI 4K/60fps, 10-bit HDR video with H.265 encoding at up to 50 Mbps, providing a cleaner monitoring image with rich detail and smoother colour transitions. DCI 4K/60fps HDR requires connection via the HDMI port or the DP-enabled bottom USB-C port on the transceiver main unit.
Extended 4 km Transmission Range
Transmission reaches up to 4 km under CE compliance testing in open, unobstructed, interference-free controlled conditions, giving crews the flexibility to work across large locations, car rigs, and wide outdoor setups.
Ultra-Low 35 ms Latency
Minimum video transmission latency is as low as 35 ms, keeping monitoring feeds responsive enough for critical focus and exposure decisions on set. This figure does not include camera or screen display latency, and is measured while shooting 1080p/60fps and 4K/60fps video.
PTP/CEC Camera Control
DJI SDR Transmission 2 supports PTP camera control, allowing you to view and adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and trigger photo capture and video recording through the app. It also supports CEC control for Sony cameras, activating Mirror Control mode.
Switchable RX/TX Operation
The transceiver functions as both receiver and transmitter. You can switch between the two roles using a simple physical control, adapting the same unit to receiver or transmitter duties depending on your setup.

Expansion Plate Compatibility
The transceiver supports the optional DJI Expansion Plate, which adds one SDI, one HDMI, and four USB-C ports for building out a larger professional monitoring chain. Metadata transmission via SDI is also supported from mainstream cinema cameras such as ARRI and RED. The optional Transceiver Cage adds further protection and mounting points, along with HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, locking the unit firmly onto a wide range of gimbals and rigs for demanding shoots such as off-road car rigs.
