Description
The DPA Microphones 4080 CORE Cardioid Lavalier Microphone is a compact lavalier microphone that is specially designed for wireless systems used in live events, journalism, and broadcast applications. It features an electret-condenser capsule that ensures clear and intelligible speech. The microphone employs DPA's CORE technology, which enhances dynamic range and reduces self-noise for exceptional speech reproduction. Additionally, the 4080 has a chest placement design and comes pre-AEQ'd with a 4 dB presence boost in the 4 to 6 kHz range to ensure optimal clarity. Its cardioid polar pattern focuses on capturing audio from the talent while minimising unwanted background noise. This makes it ideal for forward-facing talent such as broadcast personalities and presenters, as well as reducing feedback issues when using sound reinforcement systems. The microphone can handle a maximum SPL of 134 dB, making it suitable for most standard speakers and presenters. Power is supplied by 5 to 10V plug-in power from a wireless transmitter.
