Inspired by the renowned Uni-Vibe and timeless overdrives, Eventide Riptide Overdrive and Modulation Pedal is a stereo combo pedal that combines overdrive and modulation effects. It provides four FX voicings, including two Drive FX and two Vibe FX, allowing seamless transitions between immersive waves of modulation and powerful depths of overdrive.
The controls are user-friendly and easy to understand, featuring three knobs for each effect engine. Additionally, an LED button is included to reverse the FX signal chain. Onboard, you'll find five presets, and a plethora more can be accessed through the Eventide Device Manager (EDM). The footswitches are dedicated to each FX engine and offer both momentary and latching operation modes to cater to your performance requirements.
The Riptide offers versatile connectivity options, including impedance-matching 1/4" I/O for easy connection of line- or instrument-level sources. It also features an expression pedal input, mini-USB port, and TRS-based MIDI for enhanced control. Multiple bypass configurations are available, such as buffered, relay-based, DSP + FX, and Kill Dry bypass options.
