The JBL 7-Series 705P 5" Bi-Amplified Master Reference Monitor is a self-powered monitor designed for critical music recording, film post, and broadcast-production applications. Featuring JBL's Image Control Waveguide, this monitor offers an expansive soundstage and accuracy in a variety of room sizes. With a 2409H high-frequency compression driver and a 725G low-frequency transducer, the 705P delivers smooth response and low distortion, providing two to three times the output of other studio monitors.
The Image Control Waveguide ensures accuracy and a wide sweet spot, while the dual-amplification system with a 120W amp for the high-frequency transducer and a 250W amp for the low-frequency transducer improves output and allows for greater listening distances. Additionally, the speaker includes on-board room equalization to compensate for room acoustics, as well as User AEQ for custom response curves behind a perforated cinema screen. The speaker also offers digital delay for speaker alignment and AV synchronization delay for video display latency compensation.
