Now with an expanded range of voices and numerous improvements, the Korg modwave mkII Wavetable Synthesizer is an exceptional wavetable synthesiser that boasts distinct wavetable tones, Kaoss Physics, and Motion Sequencing 2.0. Drawing from the success of its predecessor, the DW-8000, the modwave mkIII is a sophisticated performance instrument that showcases deep wavetable oscillators, beautiful filters, versatile modulation capabilities, and comprehensive pattern sequencing, all complemented by an enjoyable tactile experience. The modwave mkII offers 60 voices of polyphony, free running LFOs, and various other upgrades, resulting in the creation of unique, potent, and easily customisable sounds and musical phrases.
The modwave boasts the inclusion of Motion Sequencing 2.0 and Kaoss Physics. Motion Sequencing 2.0 introduces the naturally evolving patterns found in wavestate's Wave Sequencing 2.0 to the realm of motion sequencing, incorporating multiple lanes and real-time recording to assist in the development of intricate and ever-changing musical phrases. Kaoss Physics merges an X/Y Kaoss pad with modulatable game physics to deliver responsive and interactive control that not only packs a punch but also provides ample exploration and enjoyment. For increased sonic potential, users can layer two programs and play up to four simultaneous wavetables per voice within a single program. With the presence of 5-pin DIN MIDI I/O jacks, external equipment and sequencers can be easily connected, whereas the class-compliant USB MIDI (USB-B) port accommodates connection to Windows and Mac computers. To further enhance the modwave experience, a dedicated modwave editor/librarian is freely available on the Korg website. The Korg modwave is supplied with a power adapter to ensure seamless operation.
