The nanoKONTROL Studio from Korg is a lightweight and portable MIDI controller that features transport keys and a mixer section for portable control of a DAW or DJ software. Battery-operated or USB bus-powered, the controller can connect wirelessly to an iPhone or iPad, or additionally via USB to a Mac or Windows computer. The unit is compatible with any software that supports MIDI input, and includes a comprehensive selection of music software for all supported platforms.
The simple design includes eight faders and eight rotary encoders, and a collection of white LED-illuminated control buttons. These include solo and mute, record and select buttons per channel, along with a jog wheel for scrolling through parameter assignments. Additionally the KORG KONTROL Editor software allows for freely customising the settings of the controller, while the Studio and a Control Surface plug-in is available for use with Apple's GarageBand and Logic Pro X.
