The Laowa Proteus 2x Anamorphic 28mm T2 Lens is a compact anamorphic lens specifically designed for capturing high-definition video with a 2x anamorphic squeeze. It is compatible with cameras equipped with S35+ sensors like the ALEXA 35 and RED V-RAPTOR. With a focal length of 100mm, this lens offers interchangeable PL and EF mounts, an aperture range of T2 to T22 for a deep depth of field, 10 iris blades for a shallow depth of field and soft bokeh, and a 2x anamorphic squeeze to achieve a vintage, cinema-style anamorphic look. Additionally, the Proteus lens can cover a full-frame sensor by using an optional 1.4x full-frame expander adapter.
Featuring a 28mm prime lens, this anamorphic lens offers a minimum focus distance of 18.9" and delivers anamorphic qualities such as high contrast, blue lens flares, and a wide 85.6° horizontal field of view.
