Description
The Matthews Floppy Cutter (48x48" Top Hinge) is a square frame with mounting pins attached. Used to control natural or artificial light. It can be used to protect the camera lens from flares, control spill light from other sources, or keep light from reaching an area on the set.
Floppies are Cutters which have an extra layer of material sewn to one edge and held in place with Touch Fastener until needed at which time the Cutter becomes twice its original size
Newly designed 90° Cutter frames will make it possible to position the instrument over the top of the set wall or to use two or more units to create a box for better light control.

It is a decent size but that means it blocks a decent amount of light. The floppy feature is fantastic as it doubles the coverage - perfect for outdoor neg-fill as you can angle the top hinge to just where you want it on your C-stand - anywhere from upright to right-angled (as pictured) for a moody 'under the bridge' feel. Indoors it is great as a window blocker. Fits in my medium sized SUV but only just - recommend you measure carefully and get the smaller version for hatchback sized vehicles.Read more Read less
