Designed primarily for Sony cameras equipped with a compatible Multi Interface (MI) Shoe and an integrated digital audio interface, the Sony ECM-W5R Wireless Microphone Receiver connects directly to the camera for cable-free digital audio recording while drawing power from the camera itself. When paired with ECM-W5T microphone/transmitters (sold separately), it enables high-resolution audio capture, four-channel in-camera recording, wireless headphone monitoring, and timecode synchronization. Compatible Sony cameras can also record 32-bit float audio directly into the video file, making editing and file management more efficient. In addition to Sony MI Shoe-equipped cameras, this versatile receiver can also be used with computers, mobile devices, and cameras that do not feature a Sony MI Shoe.
