The NR170S is an internal high density multi-disk SATA Raid module that supports up to 5 multiple 3.5” SATA 3/6Gbps hard drives for only occupying 3 standard 5.25” space. With the built-in reliable hardware RAID processor, NR170S provides a variety of RAID level selections, high transmission rate, and simple setup that fits into an existing IT infrastructure.

Featuring a user friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface), the NR170S can be configured and monitored by an In-Band bus from a direct-attached host server/workstation or be set up and monitored remotely through the IP Address of a direct-attached Server/Workstation. Moreover, notification of RAID malfunction, overheating or fan failure can be notified via email.

1. Operating systems that allow disk volume larger than 2 Terabytes (2048 Gigabytes) include:
   a. Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008
   b. Mac OS 10.4/10.5 or higher
   c. Linux 2.6.23 or higher

2. If you want to use multiple RAID volumes, your system should meet either of the following requirements.
   a. The motherboard's SATA port should support Port Multiplier function.
   b. The system should have an internal SATA card with Port Multiplier function.
