The Neumann MCM 114 SET BRASS/SAX/UNI Cardioid Miniature Clip-On Microphone System is an instrument microphone specifically designed for discerning musicians and engineers, concert venues, equipment rental houses, and event-production companies. It is ideal for close miking of various instruments such as the trumpet, trombone, saxophone, French horn, and percussion instruments. With its elevated electret technology, the MCM 114 SET BRASS/SAX/UNI delivers exceptional performance, capable of capturing the details of both loud and soft instruments without distortion or self-noise. It can be easily attached to your instrument and used for both wired and wireless applications, supporting traditional XLR mic preamps for studio recording and wireless transmitters for live performances.
Included in the MCM 114 SET BRASS/SAX/UNI system are the KK 14 cardioid capsule head, a flexible 6" gooseneck, and the MC 6 clip for mounting the gooseneck on the instrument. To connect the capsule, the system provides an AC 31 cable with 3.5mm locking connectors. This cable can be used with either the included MCM 100 48V phantom-powered XLR output-stage module or with the locking mini-jack input found on many Sennheiser wireless transmitters. The modular construction of the system ensures long-lasting durability, and the MCM is meticulously assembled in Germany to meet Neumann's high standards. With exceptional tonal consistency, as well as Neumann aesthetics and handling, the MCM promises top-quality performance for years to come.
