Description

The Neumann MCM 114 STEREO SET PIANO Cardioid Miniature Clip-On Microphone System is perfect for discerning musicians and engineers, concert venues, equipment rental houses, and event-production companies. It includes a pair of top-quality instrument microphones specifically configured for close miking a grand piano or an upright piano in stereo. These microphones utilize Neumann's advanced electret technology, ensuring a maximum SPL of 153 dB. Whether recording loud or soft instruments, the system captures all the details without distortion or self-noise. The microphones securely mount onto the instrument and are compatible with both wired and wireless applications. They can be connected to traditional XLR mic preamps for studio recording or to wireless transmitters for live performances.

The MCM 114 STEREO SET PIANO system consists of two KK 14 cardioid capsule heads, two flexible 6" goosenecks, and two MC 8 magnetic clips for mounting the goosenecks on the instrument. It also includes two AC 31 cables with 3.5mm locking connectors. These cables can be used to connect the capsules to the included MCM 100 48V phantom-powered XLR output-stage modules, or to the locking mini-jack inputs commonly found on Sennheiser wireless transmitters. The modular construction of the system ensures durability and a long service life. Every component is manually assembled in Germany to meet Neumann's high standards, providing consistent tonal quality and the exquisite aesthetics and handling that Neumann is known for.
