The NiSi Cinema 4×5.65” True Color Linear Polarising Filter is designed to reduce glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces, increase saturation and vibrancy in the sky and foliage while ensuring true color reproduction is at its best by eliminating the warming effect that many polarisers create.  The True Color PL removes the warm tone seen with other brands of polarising filters and provides a closer true color representation of the scene.  NiSi’s Cinema 4×5.65” True Color Linear Polarising Filter utilizes Cine seal technology which blackens the edge of the glass for added durability. This technology reduces the influence of temperature fluctuations and keeps out condensation.

Polarising Filters helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarised due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.  The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarised due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze.  A polarising filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarised light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light.  This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies, foliage, and allows the camera to capture what is under the surface of shallow water.

The Nisi 4×5.65” Range is compatible with all leading brands of matte boxes that fit the 4×5.65” standard. The cinema filters also conform with the 4mm thickness allowing them to fit into filter cages or slot into cageless designs. A leatherette pouch is included for storage and transport. Also available is a larger filter case to organise and keep multiple filters at once.
