Additionally, the lens now supports macro capabilities and retains its Leica branding. By incorporating aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements into its optical design, chromatic and spherical aberrations are significantly reduced, resulting in clear and sharp images throughout the zoom range. The lens also benefits from the POWER O.I.S. system, which minimizes camera shake and works in conjunction with Lumix G cameras' Dual I.S. function.
In terms of operability, the lens features a zoom limit switch that improves the focus limiter function, making it even more efficient.
