With an 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12-Core processor to support the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system, the TVS-h874 8-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP ensures data integrity and supports block-level inline data deduplication and compression, near-limitless snapshots, real-time SnapSync, and SSD optimization. This unit has eight SATA III 6 Gb/s drive bays, all of which natively support 3.5" hard drives, as well as 2.5" hard drives and SSDs. Should users need to expand the overall capacity of their TVS-h874, optional expansion units may be connected. Also featured are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, which allow it to be connected to external peripherals. You can also output video to an external display using the HDMI 1.4b port. Network connectivity is achieved via the two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports with port trunking failover support, which helps to provide redundancy in the case that a LAN connection malfunction occurs on one port.
The TVS-h874 runs on either the QuTS hero 5.0.0 or QTS 5.0.1 operating system. Supported RAID modes include RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, each of which provides redundancy, performance, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD and Single are also available, allowing each drive bay to be individually utilized.
QNAP has engineered the TVS-h874 to be energy efficient. Not only does it offer dual 120mm system fans and a 60mm CPU fan, the server supports numerous scheduled power on / off cycles and hard-drive hibernation to further minimize power consumption and operation expenses. The TVS-h874 operates using internal 350W power supply and includes an Ethernet cable, a power cord, 32 flat head screws for 3.5" HDDs, 24 flat head screws for 2.5" HDDs, two M.2 SSD heatsinks, and two drive tray keys. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year hardware warranty.
