The TA-3 Levelling Base with Short Handle and Platform with 3/8"-16 Stud from Really Right Stuff can level horizons for filming during a video shoot or for landscape photography. Your tripod's top plate can be replaced with the TA-3-VB or other industry standard 75mm video bowls. Therefore, the levelling base adapts right into the bowl, and it gives you the capability of levelling your horizon +/- 15°. Furthermore, with the built-in 12mm bull's-eye bubble level, it ensures your camera is levelled every time.
The top of the levelling base features a low friction anti-jam polymer plate with a 3/8"-16 male stud. Therefore, ball, gimbal, and fluid heads, with the same female thread, screw directly to the base. After locking the level's short handle in place, the base supports up to 25 lb of gear without slipping. In addition, the CNC machined 6061 aluminium levelling base has a Type II anodised finish, which makes it scratch- and corrosion-resistant.
