With its two-piece "Z-Locking" basket design, this kit magnetically affixes around your microphone, effectively isolating it from wind-caused noise. By using the Cyclone Windshield alone, you can achieve up to 50 dB of noise reduction, and when paired with a Windjammer on top, you can achieve over 60 dB reduction. Additionally, the cone-like shape of the Cyclone improves transparency by reducing reflections from parallel surfaces in the recording environment.
Not only does the Cyclone provide exceptional wind noise reduction, but it also introduces a "multi-suspension" design that isolates handling noise, cable-borne noises, and windshield basket self-noise. This innovative design prevents mechanical transmission of noise and vibration induced by the windshield, resulting in improved recording quality.
The kit includes the Cyclone Suspension fitted with 72-shore Universal Lyres for excellent suspension, a Cyclone MZL connector, a pair of Universal Lyres 62-shore designed for lightweight microphones, and a convenient hex key driver for making adjustments to the Lyres on the suspension.
