Made of CNC-machined aluminium, the Shape Camera Cage and Top Handle is specifically designed for the Canon R5C,R5 and R6 cameras. The camera is mounted to the cage using a 1/4-20 screw. The cage is designed with several 1/4-20 threaded holes and seven 3/8″-16 threaded holes with anti-rotating Arri hole patterns. The design of the cage also allows easy access to all control buttons, side outputs, the memory card, the battery compartment, the lens release button and the camera hot shoe for the audio unit system. All doors and locks are fully usable when the camera is in the cage and its intelligent design allows you to operate the camera without having to remove the cable doors.
In addition, the strap hooks can remain attached to the camera while being inserted into the cage. A detachable lock system to secure and hold in place your 4K Micro HDMI to HDMI cable is included with the cage. The bottom of the cage has three 1/4-20 threaded holes to mount a quick release tripod plate to switch from a tripod to a shoulder configuration. The aluminium top handle included with the cage offers cold shoe mounting options for additional accessories. A second top handle can be added and attached on the sides of the cage for vertical shoots.
A 15mm LW rod baseplate system is included and attached underneath the cage with four M4 screws. A height adjustable Metabones® bracket is included at the front of the baseplate for additional support. The bottom of the baseplate has three threaded holes to attach quick-release tripod plates.
