The Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 DG DN OS Sports Lens combines high-speed AF, high image quality, high-performance optical stabiliser (OS) functionality, and an inner zoom that is robust without changing barrel length, all of which provide high reliability for professionals in all fields, including sports photography.
Compared to the SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports for DSLR cameras, the SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS | is significantly lighter. The burden on the photographer is greatly reduced, giving them more room to carry another lens.
It is the first DN zoom lens to be equipped with an aperture ring. A new, more compact type of tripod socket has also been developed. Like other lenses in Sports line, various functions continue to be incorporated, providing a full range of functions and high operability.
The focus lens is driven at high speed by using a high-thrust HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) as the focus actuator, and a floating focus is used to achieve high speed AF drive. The floating configuration of this lens, in which the two focus groups are driven in opposite directions, reduces the amount of movement of each focus group to about half that of a single group focus system, achieving extremely fast AF that is highly responsive to capture photo opportunities.
