The SmallRig 4977B HawkLock Quick Release Cage for Canon EOS R5 Mark II is meticulously crafted to provide comprehensive protection and a multitude of expansion interfaces for your camera. The cage secures the camera in place with a single 1/4"-20 screw at the base and two locating blocks on the sides, incorporating built-in silicone pads to prevent scratches on the camera.
The cage provides unobstructed access to all of the camera's buttons, slots, screen, battery compartment, and other interfaces. It also features a built-in HawkLock quick-release patent structure, allowing for one-touch quick and secure attachment with a self-locking mechanism, eliminating the need for additional reinforcement. The bi-directional mounting design enables free installation orientation.
The top and sides of the cage are equipped with H21 NATO rails, facilitating quick attachment of accessories such as top handles (ID4483,3766), monitor mounts (ID2904B), and magic arms (ID3874) for expanding monitoring capabilities. It also features multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and 1/4"-20 locating holes for compatibility with side handles (ID2093,4346), and other accessories. It supports the expansion of accessories such as magic arms (ID3874,3875), monitor mounts (ID2904B), Manfrotto baseplates (ID1280,2458), L-shaped mount plate kits (IDMD4360), and others. The right side of the cage features dual horizontal 1/4"-20 threaded holes for attaching tripods (ID3989), ensuring stability during vertical shooting.
The cage features ordinary strap slots compatible with wrist straps (ID3848,2456), an innovative strap slot for downward hanging for extra lens protection, and a QD interface compatible with QD quick-release shoulder straps (ID4118).
The Arca-Swiss quick-release baseplate allows for direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (ID4060,4353) and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilizers, enabling swift transitions between stabilizer, handheld, and tripod setups. Moreover, the cage incorporates a magnetic dual head wrench at the bottom for easy assembly and disassembly.
The cage comes with a durable scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protector with a surface hardness of 9H and an IK03 impact resistance test rating.
Note:
Remove the side locating blocks on both sides of the cage before mounting.
The tempered glass screen protector is intentionally designed to be slightly smaller than the screen edges to prevent dust from entering through larger gaps, constituting a normal design feature.
