The SmallRig 5136 Cage Kit for Canon EOS C80 is designed to provide versatile shooting solutions for filmmakers. The kit includes a top plate, dual side plates, a bottom plate, a mounting plate, a top handle with NATO clamp, a cable clamp, a NATO Rail with ARRI rosette, and a lens adapter support.
Its modular design supports customizable setups, while its various mounting interfaces—1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, ARRI 3/8" -16 locating holes, M3 threaded holes, cold shoe mounts, H21 NATO rails, and QD sockets—allowing for compatibility with side handles (ID3260,4015,4016), magic arms (ID 5141,4194,3873,3959), monitor mounts (ID4487,2906B,2903B,2905B), baseplates with dual rod clamps (ID3357), and follow focus rod clamps (ID3598).
The modular baseplate design offers two configurations: when using the mount plate, it can be mounted on tripods (ID4463), ARRI BP8 baseplates (ID3357), and shoulder rigs (ID4181). Removing the the mount plate allows for direct mounting on DJI RS 2, RS 3 Pro, and RS 4 Pro gimbals.
The ergonomic right side plate enhances grip and features multiple threaded holes for attaching accessories like tripods (ID4463) or L-shaped mount plates (IDMD4360). The modular NATO rail, designed with the matching to the original handle ARRI rosette, can be mounted on top and sides of the cage for seamless horizontal and vertical shooting.
This cage kit is compatible with Canon’s OEM microphone mounts, focus plane marks, and off-camera shoe cords (OC-E4A). The lens adapter support is adjustable by 19mm (0.7 in) to accommodate different lens adapters, such as PL-RF, reducing strain on the camera mount to prevent deformation or damage.
Additionally, the kit includes an HDMI cable clamp for stable data transmission and an ergonomic top handle with built-in non-slip silicone for a comfortable grip. A magnetic Allen wrench is also included for easy assembly and disassembly.
