This StarTech Mini-SAS Adapter - Dual SFF-8643 to 8644 lets you convert two internal SFF-8643 ports on a controller card into two external SFF-8644 ports. This enables you to connect external SAS or SATA drives in devices such as a Direct Attached Storage (DAS) device to an internal backplane or SAS controller for additional storage.
