The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in low-light conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field. It's a fast lens widely used in shooting portraits, landscapes and more general photography. The lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 7.9” away and it features a 10-blade diaphragm that contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
