The Voigtlander 28mm f/2.0 Ultron Vintage Aspherical VM Lens Type II is a wide-angle lens of the classic length. Its fast aperture enables its use in low-light conditions while also providing greater depth-of-field control. This redesigned Ultron lens, now more compact, showcases improved optical performance with its aspherical design that consists of 10 lens elements in seven groups. To ensure corner to corner sharpness and realistic color rendering, the lens incorporates one aspherical element and two abnormal partial dispersion elements. The chrome lens barrel boasts a vintage design that complements both vintage and modern camera bodies.
To enhance its versatility, the lens employs the VM mount which can be easily adapted to other widely used lens mounts such as Sony E-, FUJIFILM X-, and Nikon Z-mount cameras, using Voigtländer close focus VM-mount adapters.
