The Vortex Optics Sport Binocular Tripod Adapter allows you to easily mount your binoculars outfitted with a 1/4"-20 threaded socket on a photo/video/field tripod or head for hands-free use. Its unique system gives you two ways to mount the adapter on your tripod. When you thread the binocular portion into the optic you can then screw it onto a quick release plate or mounting stud, or for faster setup and breakdown, you can instal the included base onto your head and simply drop the binocular portion onto it. This is the ideal solution if your head doesn't have a QR plate. The bottom of the adapter and base have 1/4"-20 mounting threads to be compatible with a wide variety of support systems. Using the adapter with your binoculars, especially high-power ones or those with large objective lenses, helps to steady the view, reduce vibrations, and eliminate arm fatigue.
