This iteration of the orange Pelican 1557Air Gen 2 Hard Carry Case is designed for you to maximise its available space while providing customised protection for your valuable gear. You get the 1557 case with two layers of Pick-N-Pluck foam so you can customize the interior to your specific gear and ensure it is fully protected. Additionally, there is a convoluted eggcrate insert for the inside of the lid and a foam base layer for the bottom of the case to complete the cushioned protection.

Built for strength and portability, the orange Pelican 1557Air Gen 2 Hard Carry Case is designed to be dustproof, fully watertight, and crushproof to protect your valuable gear against the harshest handling, shipping, and environmental conditions on the planet.
Your case is made of a super-light proprietary HPX2 polymer, with honeycomb structural elements, which is up to 40% lighter than most other Pelican polymers and has newly designed dual push-button latches that provide ease-of-use versus previous iterations. Case design features include an O-ring that seals it to an IP67-rating to be dust and waterproof, dual 5/16" (8mm) diameter stainless steel reinforced padlock holes, and a pressure relief valve. This valve regulates the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurised seal that may develop. A polycarbonate card holder may be placed on the front or side of the case.
Pelican 5-Piece Foam Set for 1557Air Case
Designed for their 1557Air case, the Pelican 5-Piece Foam Set consists of a convoluted eggcrate foam lid insert, a base layer for the bottom of the case, and three pieces of customisable Pick-N-Pluck foam. Pelican recommends that you leave at least an inch of foam between your gear and the inside walls of the case to make sure it is well protected.
